Dear Mr. Sanchez

My name is Daniel Segura and I am writing about dinner last night in your restaurant, it was a bad night.

I got a bargain in the online page yuplon, where you offered some dinner for a family of 4 members so I bought it and the problem was not the web page, the problem was the restaurant. The dinner was bought since July 4, so I reserved a space for 6 of July. Everything was going well, but when I got there your employees first said I did not make a reservation, and they gave the worst space, it was next to the bathroom! Then we started to order the food, I ordered boil chicken with cabbage salad. First problem with the food was, the cabbage salad was not had cabbage, the salad was made of spinach! And then the chicken was not boiled, it was a completely mess! I would never recommend you to other people, now I think that I did not get a bargain the price I paid it was completely overpriced.

The only thing I found it good was the old furniture make of wood. And I almost forgot that when I went to pay the bill your employees did not even know about the offer I bought in yuplon, so it was a long way just to pay the bill.

 Past Perfect and Past Perfect continuos

In English the past perfect and past perfect continuous for me are the most difficult thing in the past tense, I found they hard because I do not really know how and when I have to use they also is hard to include those tenses in a conversation. I am going to show you how I study this and which materials I used for a better comprehension of this topic.

First we need to make a line and keep the order always in our mind.

          

           Past perfect   -------PPC--------   Simple past   -------  P Prog----    Present

 PPC means Past Perfect Continuous had it has those lines because is an action that started in the past continued up until another time in the past.

Another thing to keep in mind is the construction of these past tenses:

Past perfect =

Had + past participle

Past Perfect Continuous=

Had been + present participle

Heroes

When we were young, almost all the television programs showed us heroes, that is why everybody want to have a hero. Heroes in the programs are the ones who saves the world, and also they do good thinks for the society. Someone can be hero if he or she has super powers or also if she or he has strength or intelligence. The problem is how would you are going to find a hero if the humans does not has super powers?

Nowadays I know how is a real hero but in my childhood, when I was a child I remember I was watching Superman and I had not been so wrong in my because I thought that a real super hero has to fly and fight. I had been thinking for more than 5 years why heroes need to have super powers because for me a real hero is someone who is had been working long hours just to bring the food to the family, someone that can make you laugh or someone can help other people. Which hero do you think is the best, the one who saves the world with super power or the other one without super powers? I had thought this and for me is the second one just for a big difference, they are real.

One day someone asked me who you think is the best hero and I was thinking when suddenly I said my parents, and my friend was like “no no being real” and I said to him “you know what they are my heroes look at me I have a good things, they let me study and I am never hungry for me they save my world every day” and then he said I am agree with you.

Please try to be a hero there is so many things you can do to help another people and doing that you are going to know how cool is to help another people and make them happy.

First entry

Another quarter starts and that involve so many things that you will remember. That’s why having a good experience and enjoying the course you will have good memories, and I know that I will remember this one all my life, because I always wanted to have a professor with that charisma. Prof. Floria makes you feel comfortable in class and her good sense of humor I going to make you laugh as much as you can. I remember the first class when I came back to home I was telling to my mom how nice the class was, I told my mom that I was so excited about this course just for one reason the feelings that everybody in the class transmit to me. I know everyone is going to be successful and pass the class.

I know this is not going to be easy, you have to be very responsible and do all the thing on time. Is important to participle in the class is the only way you will improve your English and in a few time you will see the change, is important not to feel frustrated if you couldn’t say something, its ok you just have to keep trying. And also the Professor Floria loves art so you have to be artistic.

My expectation of this quarter, this is hard because must of people will say pass the course or learn more, and that’s ok, but also is important to be a better human; people don’t think about it but to be a professional is not important just the degree, you should have good values and attitude. Another expectation is make a lot of friends I don’t like to feel lonely and I feel very comfortable meeting new people.
